The VP of Sales Commercial Strategy is primarily responsible for leading sufficiency and go-to-market innovations across the region to drive thought leadership with customers. This role will report to the Head of US Sales. Your role is to drive multi-functional integration across end-to-end Sales, eg. Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, Shelf, Channel fit-for-use, Retailer JBP’s and Category Analytics. You lead your organization through the creation and adoption of horizontal processes such as early initiative engagement, Category Business Plan Development, Roadshows and 3-year planning. You are responsible for strategic leadership, output and long-range planning and overall responsibility for the management and development of all Sales Strategy team members. A tireless agent for change, you drive a growth mindset unlocking team potential, maximizing growth, and motivating the organization to deliver breakthrough results.
Lead creation of the category visions and strategies, translating brand plans into winning category sales plans and selling stories designed by customer/channel and defining annual/quarterly category goals.
Defines 1, 3 and 5 year strategic growth plans for total commerce (Brick and mortar and eCommerce) to filter down to flawless execution of superior sales fundamentals to maximize growth in Net Sales, Value share and gross contribution.
Leads Sales organization long-term quality input into innovation design 3-5 years out enabling Retailer JBP delivery, fit-for-use and long-term Net-Sales and All-in Profit targets and flawless execution of innovation delivery 0-3 years out.
Collaborate with the Revenue Growth Management team on trade promotion effectiveness and the recommendation for region wide trade investment by brand and category.
Support regular cross-functional reviews of business plans to enable trade optimization. This includes enabling the quarterly business reviews and shopper marketing reviews.
Collaborate with the field-based teams to disseminate best practices and insights
Along with RGM, enable the field-based sales finance leaders and internal finance marketing teams to make data-based decisions to drive business results across the portfolio of Sanofi brands, including new product development launch plans and ongoing promotions.
In collaboration with RGM, lead the evaluation of trade plans and drive the alignment with field sales on the annual category promotion plans. Ensure there is consistency in the reporting metrics to drive accountability and a GM mindset through the sales organization.
Work with the shopper insights team to develop category selling stories which the field sales teams can use to engage multiple levels of management at our trade partners.
Who You Will Work With:
You lead 3 direct reports in Sales Strategy and eCommerce and their organizations
You will collaborate regularly with the external Sales teams, Marketing, Marketing Op’s, Finance, Supply Chain and the entire internal sales organization.
You will collaborate with the buyers and their own support organization at our retail partners

These Characteristics Describe You:
You have demonstrated mastery skills in business acumen, category business drivers, customer strategy, value creation and commercial leadership across all of commerce.
A strong leader with demonstrated track-record for exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a general management mindset and capabilities.
Minimum of 10 years of proven delivery within OTC/Healthcare and Personal Care, both top and bottom-line results required. Excellent business acumen; proficient category, segment and RX to OTC switching knowledge.
Minimum of 3-5 years of Sales Strategy experience. Extensive macro-U.S. trade channel experience to include shopper journeys, eComm, syndicated and shopper data. Proficient in all functional areas to include CPFR/demand planning and business analysis.
You lead brilliantly, are self-motivated, and inspire others when facing highly ambiguous, complex situations.
