What you’ll be doing...
As a Principal Solutions Security Architect you will serve as the technical design authority and architectural expert for sales opportunities in support of our security portfolio. You will engage in complex, strategic sales opportunities directly, and serve as the technical solutions lead for such pursuits. You will consult with our customer’s senior technical and business owners to create a solution leveraging the strengths of our portfolio, and help execute that solution strategy within the sales and delivery organizations.
Forging strong customer relationships with senior security leaders and key influencers.
Evaluating and identifying vulnerabilities and risks in customer systems.
Proposing tailored solutions to address customer security threats and risks.
Assessing results and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Serving as a subject matter expert, teaching and training internal teams.
Providing guidance and responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ.
Supporting solution lifecycle during customer proposal phase
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Three or more years of recent customer facing experience.
Experience in complex multi-tower security solutions– in Cyber Intelligence and Analytics, Critical Infrastructure, Global Managed Security Services, Threat and Risk Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management, Governance Risk and Compliance, or Security & Network Architecture. Ideally, managed solutions.
Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Australian government security clearance (baseline, NV-1 or higher).
Superb presentation skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Presented compelling business cases to c-suite buyers. Ideally in large global accounts.
Met challenging goals and anticipated and mitigated technical barriers to sale or implementation.
Thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and have the ability to clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with Verizon versus its competitors.
Knowledge of commonly used security and Internet concepts, practices and procedures.
Security Industry certification such as SABSA.
Knowledge and/or certifications in key security and SEIM vendor products and capabilities.
A background in security Operations or Professional Services.
