Job Description CVS Health has a rich set of healthcare data of more than 150 million individuals and provides the best foundation for any ambitious leader to work on billions of records of healthcare data. The Director, Data Engineering Cloud and Financial Analytics will manage the build and architecture of next-generation data assets to support financial analytics applications. As a leader in the Enterprise Analytics organization you will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of analytics initiatives aimed at optimizing financial performance. You will collaborate with business partners from Finance, Underwriting, Client Operations, and Sales to develop effective solutions for our partners. You will lead a team of data engineers, cloud engineers and analytic talent to deploy financial data assets to address critical and complex problems. Your experience will include translating business needs into analytic questions. Using these skills, you will lead a team responsible for delivering direct value to the business. You will serve as a bridge between the technical leads and the business leads, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information around the architecture and business trade-offs.
Required Qualifications Bachelorâ™s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Math, Actuarial, Finance or related field with 10+ years of professional or business analytics experience; or Masterâ™s Degree with 5+ year of experience in: â¢ Designing and implementing end-to-end solutions â¢ Working with data and have a strong understanding of analytics and how it is leveraged â¢ Experience directly managing a data engineering team â¢ Maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners â¢ Presenting to audiences including technical, non-technical, and senior leaders â¢ Managing cross functional initiatives and communicating effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members, and senior management â¢ Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including developing and presenting strategic plans and presentations to executive and technical audiences with the goal of obtaining feedback and alignment on project goals and delivery strategies â¢ Requires exceptional judgment, discretion and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications â¢ Be a self-starter who can create a vision and organize a plan to execute it â¢ Experience in healthcare industry with understanding in PBM Contracting, Rebate Contracting, or Underwriting â¢ Exceptional communication skills to ensure all stakeholders understand and are aligned with the product plan â¢ Management consulting experience â¢ Proficiency and understanding in Datawarehouse, Big Data, GCP or Azure Cloud, Agile Methodology, DevOps is a plus
Education â¢ Bachelorâ™s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Math, or Advanced Degree â¢ Strongly Preferred: MBA, Masters in Finance, Actuarial, or Information Systems
