Wells Audit is comprised of approximately 1,500 team members covering audit work across the company and is responsible to protect customers, team members, and communities by reducing risk.
Sr. Audit Director will report to the Chief Audit Director, Enterprise Functions, and will collaborate and partner with other specialist audit teams, as appropriate, to ensure comprehensive financial and regulatory reporting audit coverage. The Sr. Audit Director will also be responsible for functional audit coverage of the Controllers organization, including all key reporting and non-reporting processes, including internal controls, corporate tax, general ledger operations, and general and specialty accounting. In this role, the Sr. Audit Director will lead a team of 40-50 experienced auditors and will be responsible for building and maintaining a highly engaged expert team.
12+ years of experience in audit or risk functions including leading teams covering risk identification, mitigation, and management.
8 years management experience
Audit management experience at a large financial institution or audit firm
CPA, CIA, or Commissioned Bank Examiner
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes, as well as the regulatory landscape
Good understanding of Institution of Internal Audit (IIA) standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
