Provides technical assistance to hardware mechanical engineers in the prototyping, design and qualification testing of Logix/Netlinx/Kinetix products in accordance with sound and accepted engineering practices. Assists engineers with the coordination of product release to manufacturing by interfacing to the other internal organizations. Works on assigned projects and products under the direction of mechanical hardware engineers, project engineers, functional managers and project managers.
Participant in prototype validation testing and product qualification testing
Maintaining laboratory tools and equipment and managing an equipment inventory
Building and modifying test stands
Reworks of the products under tests and prototypes
Scrapping prototypes and unneeded electronics equipment according to the corporate rules
Analyze, design and schedule the implementation of tasks on cost-effective basis
Analyze tasks and be a technical contributor in the cost-effective implementation of tasks
Minimum Technical high school degree of electrical, mechanical, electronic or similar specialization
A minimum of 1 year of related experience
Mechanical aptitude to build test fixtures, mount motors, and use power hand tools
Experience with Microsoft Office package
Experience with soldering
Understanding electrical and basic electronics principles
Command of English A2/B1 (e.g. reading standards, writing test reports)
Analysis and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of computer networks
Experience in support of microprocessor based digital and/or analog circuitry and power electronics
Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
