What you will do
As a Staff R&D Engineer at Stryker Neurovascular you will join a cross-functional team to design and develop new devices in the treatment of hemorrhagic stroke. Responsibilities of the role include:
May train and/or provide work direction to technicians and entry-level engineers.
Compliant utilization of design control process for Design and Development part of Product Realization (Quality Manual). Includes ability to lead the creation and/or maintenance of R&D deliverables and contribution to proper records organization within PLM system for DHF, DMR, and functional deliverables.
Uses engineering principles and techniques in areas such as statics, strength of materials, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, kinematics, dynamics, statistics, IP, test method development, medical device design, process technology, engineering analyses (CFD, FEA, Multi-Physics, etc), Design of Experiments, clinical and pre-clinical med device design standards / regulations while working on assigned projects and solving problems.
What you need
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering field. Advanced engineering degree preferred.
4+ years of experience in medical device development with working knowledge of design control principles.
Prior experience in interventional radiology, cardiology, and/or neuroradiology devices and techniques highly preferred.
Strong technical skills balanced with talent for leadership and project management.
Demonstrated successes in product development through completion of design verification and validation resulting in regulatory approval.
