What you’ll be doing...
Your role is to nurture, develop, and grow our greatest asset—our people. Using your human resources expertise and a solid understanding of our business (don’t worry—that will come with time), you’ll help guide your clients through all people-related matters as they navigate challenges and embrace opportunities. You will be responsible for driving and delivering HR solutions for Southeast and North Asia region while overseeing the achievement of global organizational goals. Your primary responsibility is the execution of a talent strategy that results in increased performance and productivity. You also have ultimate responsibility for ensuring processes, policies and ER matters comply with local legislative requirements.
Partnering with business leaders to understand and consult on business strategy, people challenges and opportunities.
Partnering with Center of Excellence teams (COEs) to provide and manage solutions in all areas of staffing, compensation & benefits, training and talent development.
Spearheading programs that promote recognition, development, and retention of key talent.
Driving a variety of HR initiatives and projects.
Offering expert advice on ethics, compliance, and employee relations issues.
Providing guidance on human resources policies and procedures
Ensuring Verizon meets all legal/regulatory and social obligations.

You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant discipline or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Six or more years of experience in an HRBP role.
Six or more years of experience driving and delivering HR projects
Experience in Human Resources working across multiple countries in the Asia Pacific, particularly in South East Asia and North Asia region.
Business level fluency in English to manage and service our regional/global clients
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Strong consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Demonstrated influence skills with key stakeholders through relationships, expertise, and data
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to challenge others.
Ability to lead change and execute in a functional and complex matrix environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to provide coaching and training as required.
High energy level with strong customer/service mindset.
Native or Business level fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and/or Japanese to service the regional clients is an added advantage
