What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an accounting concentration required- Entry Level role
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to communicate effectively and promptly with internal customers
Effective prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
Excellent analytical skills and ability to apply innovative approaches to problem solve
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team, toward executing processes and meeting deadlines
We'd Love to See:
Experience with account reconciliations and JE preparation
Previous experience working with outsourced service providers
Experience with indirect tax compliance including U.S. sales, use, gross receipts, and property taxes.
Experience researching tax laws for U.S. indirect tax
Experience with Vertex Q, Vertex O Series, Tableau, and Alteryx (or other similar tools used for business analytics/reporting)
Theoretical knowledge of Value-Added and like-kind tax
1-3 years of related experience
Impact You'll Make:
Under the direction of the Indirect Tax Manager, the AF Analyst I position will be responsible for supporting the outsourced U.S. sales & use tax and Canadian compliance process, property tax compliance process, assisting with state audit support, responding to internal and external sales & use tax inquiries, suggesting edits to frequently asked question documentation, property tax analysis, various indirect tax payment processing, and maintenance of the Vertex sales tax software
This position will also perform indirect tax research and assist the Indirect Tax Manager and Indirect Tax Senior Manager with special projects
Review transactional data to ensure sales/use tax is accurately applied
