The Director, LMS Support & Implementation will be responsible for the overall Labor Management System (Engineered Standards) Program at McKesson Medical Surgical. This leader will be responsible for a team of Operations & LMS System subject matter experts focused on the on-going support, configuration, implementation & optimization of the JDA/Blue Yonder LMS Program at McKesson Medical Surgical. This position will be responsible for the team that supports existing LMS Sites within each Region as well as new site implementation. This leader will have a strong understanding of and consideration for the unique operations processes and procedures at each LMS DC within our organization. This individual will partner & communicate with all levels of DC Operations, IT, WMS, Distribution Center Solutions and Senior Leadership to identify and solve for challenges related to the support of the existing LMS Program and implementation of the LMS program post Blue Yonder's Warehouse Management System Go Live at all sites across McKesson Medical Surgical.
This individual will lead efforts across the team to ensure all duties involved in the support, design, configuration, implementation, and improvement of the LMS program are completed and deadlines & key business case metrics are achieved. Other duties include, but are not limited to new build design, standardization, advanced LMS Systems development & configuration, program revisits, system testing, training, warehouse mapping, system troubleshooting, defining fair & accurate direct / indirect engineered standards, program & standard updates for operational changes, program performance accountability, IWIN incentive program oversight, and ensuring overall program compliance & standards accuracy.
This is a full-time role with up to 75% travel.
Key Responsibilities(List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order):
30% - Provides leadership & partnership across LMS & WMS team in a cross functional matrix environment. Provides guidance & executes deliverables from a new configuration and program support perspective to stakeholders and project members to advance the LMS program in terms of site implementation, program compliance, and optimization to improve LMS Project & business case financials. Works with project team to resolve issues, deliver results and improve program adoption.
30% - Serves as Operations & Program Subject Matter Expert for system design, function, implementation, testing, training, adoption, future development, and system execution at each site. Develops & writes process documents, flowcharts & completes or reviews all configuration to ensure the LMS functions as designed and accurately reflects the unique operations while balancing consistency & standardization at each site.
30% - Responsible for identifying and closing any GAPS in processes, identifying departures from the SOP, or potential process improvement needs. As the LMS system and SOP expert, this individual will lead development, configuration & implementation strategies that meet WMS business case strategies & deadlines and improves the efficiency & quality of processes relative to our Operations.
10% - May prepare and present presentations and lead conference calls to share information and coordinate project activities.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
4-year degree or equivalent field experience
Strong knowledge of McKesson DC processes
Ability to identify & communicate best practices for DC Process Efficiency
Must be proficient with McKesson's RF technology & Blue Yonder Software Configuration & best practices for successful Implementation
Business Experience -
5+ year's experience in project management including managing multiple projects simultaneously
5+ year's experience and a track record of proven leadership in a DC environment
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must be able to partner with cross functional partners and direct a team of employees to accomplish a specific set of goals and objectives
Specialized Knowledge/Skills -
Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value.
Strong knowledge of all McKesson policies and procedures related to warehouse duties
Strong knowledge of distribution center process and procedures as well as layout of facilities
Strong knowledge of distribution center layout/construction
Ability to identify training & support needs based on changes of work environment
Must be able to communicate directly and candidly with all levels of the organization
Intermediate knowledge of analytical reporting tools (Access, Excel) strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of multiple platforms/systems (Audit Log, E1, McKesson RF, Blue Yonder Software, WMS/LMS Processes/Configuration) required.
Comfortable "rolling up the sleeves" and working alongside team members to demonstrate best practices & lean work methods.
Traditional warehouse & office environment.
Up to 75% travel required
Physical Requirements -
Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required.
Time is split equally between overseeing the DC tasks, interacting with the DC team members, and general office requirements.
Lifting between 1 and 30 pounds regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally
