Work You'll Do:
A Manager at Deloitte is expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:
â¢ Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
â¢ Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies.
â¢ Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
â¢ People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices
â¢ Managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
â¢ Leads Agile development teams across the software development life cycle (SDLC) to deliver complex technical solutions (web applications, mobile) to government clients
6 years of relevant consulting or industry experience (including at least 2 years of experience managing large technology engagements)
Experience leading and managing a team of 3-10 people or more
2 years of experience managing cost, schedule and performance for SDLC deployment or application management project
4+ years of experience in implementing large-scale custom development and/or systems integration projects in one or more phases of the software development lifecycle
Expert understanding of SDLC processes - Waterfall, Agile, RAD
Experience working with project stakeholders to establish internal standards and best practices
Experience working with business users to gather requirements, writing functional and technical specifications
A Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University
Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Eagerness to mentor junior staff
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
Natural curiosity and eagerness to work with and learn new technologies/applications and approaches
