Overall responsibility of the Global Deployment Manager IS is to determine and coordinate the capacity and skills across the IS Delivery organization to meet changing demands for the global customer programs throughout the solution lifecycle.
He/She undertakes planning activities to ensure availability of the required personnel at the right time and cost to meet or exceed customers' expectations while rolling the solution out to different sites cross regions.
The Global Deployment Manager IS identifies, and addresses the need for improvement concerning processes, tools and IT infrastructure to optimize efficiency and extend the bandwidth of the IS Delivery organization for global implementation programs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the information solutions global customer programs in regards of the timely deployment of resources and capacity planning during the multi-site rollout to improve customer experience and satisfaction as well as overall utilization.
Responsible for the right mix of resources and skills available to enable scalable and agile delivery to respond to changing demand throughout the global customers programs lifecycle. Interface and key stakeholder of the Center of Excellence teams and regional deployment.
Supports consistent delivery and quality excellence across teams involved in global customer program by leading internal initiatives to increase the efficiency of the IS Delivery teams.
Determines future requirements (investments, resources, locations, etc.) of global and regional IS Delivery organization and drives implementation together with Regional and Center of Excellence Management.
Provide direction in the areas of people's hiring, coaching, development and training, morale, and employee relations issues.
Build strong relationship to Program Managers for close alignment and collaboration on customer programs.
Build strong relationship to Product Management for knowledge share and influence product development.
Establish strong management relationship with the Global Leadership Team and Regional Business Management as well as others to foster best practices and cost awareness.
Establish good cooperation and working relationship with the Business Functions Managers globally.
Closely works with LCS delivery excellence team for optimized labor sharing / pooling regionally and globally.
Works with regional and global competency teams to address training needs / gaps.
Provides functional direction to the Regional Delivery Managers and Center of Excellence Leads.
Shows strong business understanding and drives continuous improvement of the IS solution deployment globally.
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to lead teams cross border.
Technical and commercial experience with a degree of customer interaction.
Familiar with PMI and iPM standards
Ability to communicate effectively.
Highly self-motivated and capable to motivate others.
Ability to work effectively in virtual environment.
Experienced with other cultures and is emphatic to their way of thinking and working.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge; further education in business administration, operations, or project management is a plus, i. e. PMP Certification.
Typically requires a minimum of 10 years in project or program management in software, process automation or application engineering capacity.
At least 5 years management experience, ideally in a global environment.
Experienced in processes of batch and discrete industries; preferably Life Sciences, Consumer Products, Automotive and Tire.
