Initially this position is needed in a full time, temporary capacity to fill a critical need for an estimated 6 months. The Bottling Production Assistant is a key member of our operations. Partnering with the business, this position will be responsible for transactional activities to maintain accurate inventory levels and records of both dry goods and finished goods. Additionally, this position will coordinate the release and delivery of dry goods to ensure supplies for production and arrange shipping of filled product to 3rd party sub-contractor sites or CBI distribution centers. The Bottling Production Assistant will be able to recognize and report supply variances and timing issues, perform the input of final counts of finished product and residual supplies, close sub-contracting POs, and provide production information to sites. Individual can be remote in Pacific Time Zone (preferably CA).

Create and execute schedule for transportation of filled product, glass, dry goods, or semi- finished product either to distribution centers or sub-contracting sites to support productionÂ
Effective communication with 3rd party trucking companies to ensure on time accurate deliveries of filled product, glass, dry goods or semi-finished productÂ
Coordinate and shipping and receiving warehouses to balance transfer needs with capacity constraints where applicable
Effective communication with Buyers, Dry Goods LTOâs and Inventory Control Analyst to receive real time counts of inventory for transactional responsibilities to balanceÂ
Maintain consistent communication linkage with Bottling, Quality Control, Warehouse, Purchasing and Marketing departments to assure accurate, reliable, and timely supply information
Closely work with bottling and planning to ensureÂ weÂ have real time information so we can alter our plan of deliveries pertaining to filled product, glass, dry-goods or semi-finished product if neededÂ
Prepare daily production supply release plans and communicate to carrier and internal personnelÂ
Perform walks ofÂ theÂ dry goods inventory area when necessaryÂ
Partner with business to plan obsolescence activities for obsolete or excess suppliesÂ
Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team memberâs safetyÂ
Participate, as required, in periodic warehouse inventories
Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisor
Timely Process Order or PO creation and distribution to bottling partners
Lead Transportation/Distribution 3rdÂ party schedule reviewÂ Â
SOP creation for specialized 3rdÂ party Production Assistant functionsÂ
Identify process or communication gaps and initiate discussion for improvementÂ
Minimum 2 years of administrative experienceÂ
Well versed in Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelÂ
Strong problem solving skills, analytical mindset and can think outside the boxÂ
Ability to create and deliver presentations; strong written and oral communication
Can handle the following SAP CODE situations: ME21N, STO creation, VL10D, VL02N, VL31N, MIGO, CORK, CORS and MSC1N
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Â
Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy.Â Involves exposure to hazardous conditions.Â Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.
