Roles & Responsibilities
To be able to independently support TAVI clinical research and commercial cases to an expert level. This includes all aspects of cardiology and cardiac surgery with an emphasis on TAVI, including all technologies, the application of theoretical principles and troubleshooting techniques.
To be conversant in all aspects of TAVI and to be able to effectively communicate the rationale of using AV TAVI technology in all applications.
Provides field support for AV TAVI Program, including CE Mark program and clinical research cases, and commercial implants.
Leading or assisting with training of study staff on the requirements of any Abbott study as directed by the clinical team, attendance at procedures to support the study as required, and continually work with the clinical team in support of study needs to meet organizational and cross-divisional objectives. This may include meeting enrolment objectives, assisting with patient screening, protocol and regulatory compliance, supporting the administrative needs of the center and continuous technical support.
Collaborates as required with the Clinical Research Department on clinical data collection requirements, investigator training needs, and trial execution and compliance.
Applies relevant AV Standard Operating Procedures to ensure operational integrity and compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements related to the conduct of any clinical studies.
Assists in the planning and training as required for new product launches. To serve as a TAVI expert to Marketing and Clinical on the development of training materials in support of commercialization of pre-CE mark devices.
Maintains expert status and continuing clinical and technical proficiency in product expertise that goes beyond features and benefits, focusing also on design, development, clinical application and competitive positioning.
To provide a link to Europe TAVI Education Customer Training and to serve as a technical conduit for clinical investigation sites to the TAVI Clinical team in EMEA and CATD and the Dutch clinical organization and commercial organizations.
The role has responsibility for achieving commercial sales targets on the given geographical area of responsibility, working closely with the complete Dutch commercial team to ensure we achieve planned sales revenues.
To maintain all aspects of commercial activity, including KOL relationships, monitoring competitor activity and pricing, working in a collaborative and cross functional manner with the NL organization.
Ability to operate commercially with both clinical and commercial customers and to understand the following; trends in heart disease management therapies, local market dynamics in terms of political influences, healthcare budgets and re-imbursement policies, local AV opportunities and threats, including competitors' strategies and offerings and KOL influences in each Account, Healthcare Trust organizational structures and decision making networks, including key individual influencers at all level, customer procurement procedures, buying styles, and Hospital administrative objectives.
Who are we looking for?
You bring along work experience within the medical device sector or proof of clinical experience in the specific field. Medical training background strongly preferred.
preferably an educational degree in life sciences (min. Bachelor level)
Be able to project a professional image, have strong communication and leadership skills, and be of sound ethical character.
Professional selling skills would be valued.
