Directly control the movement and handling of materials. Transferring received materials to the Supermarket and delivering parts from the Supermarket to internal customers in assembly, aftermarket and shipping. Put away, labeling, picking, delivery, cycle counting, and inventory transactions in business system. Use of pallet jacks, hand held RF scanning devices and PCs.
Putting away received materials from accept area to Supermarket shelves, overstock, point-of-use (POU) and other designated locations including performing inventory transactions in business system using RF scanning devices and PCs.
Removing all non-critical packaging from parts prior to delivery to production areas a.k.a. 'de-trashing'.
Picking materials, lot labeling, filling Kanbans and performing inventory transactions in business system for production, including other internal and external customers using hand held RF scanning devices and PCs.
Delivering parts to production areas in an efficient manner by means of a regularly scheduled route of delivery.
Quickly responding to Andon lights to provide materials that are needed immediately.
Collecting depleted production Kanbans to refill during picking process in Supermarket.
Expediting materials to production areas to prevent line shut downs.
Informing Material Coordinator of any parts shortages and maintaining a whiteboard listing of all depleted materials.
Performing daily cycle counts of inventory.
Actively participating in 5S program and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Training others to the duties and processes established.
