What does a great Manager of Financial Sales Analysis do?
The Manager of Sales Finance will drive profitable business growth by providing strong financial planning, reporting, analysis and modelling services for effective business management and corporate governance. This role will lead a team which supports the sales teams of the Account Processing Group, applying reporting policy, deriving accurate sales value and validating commissions paid to the sales teams. Sales Finance supports over $500m in sales transactions annually. This position will be a key contributor and driver of best practices, organizing the team to be successful in achieving accurate reporting and meeting deadlines.
This Manager of Sales Finance will be responsible for preparing financial and business related analysis in a fast paced and dynamic finance organization supporting multiple business units and products. Responsibilities include:
Coordinating, managing, preparing finance and management reports including appropriate variance analysis, evaluation of metrics and commentary for internal review and action
Ability to recommend business process improvements and successfully implement procedures to improve efficiencies, accurately report results and increase company profits
Demonstrating strong financial analysis and modelling skills, including complex integrated financial models, evaluation of payback
The manager will be relied upon to offer excellent quantitative analysis, qualitative business judgement and to build strong relationships with key decision makers and peers across the business unit
Developing dashboards used by the executive management team to assist them in making operational decisions that maximize profitable growth
Analyzing and assessing risks and opportunities, developing key business metrics to drive revenue and reduce costs resulting in increased profitability and business growth
Providing periodic and ad hoc project and financial support/reporting for executive management within the Division, Group, and Corporate governance structures
Leading and developing 3-5 financial analysts
Basic Qualifications for Consideration :
Strong organization skills to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while responding quickly to management requests
Ideal candidate will have significant experience in Excel based financial modeling, creating various financial analyses and working with non-finance business partners
Ability to synthesize large amounts of raw data and make the complex simple, inform management of significant findings, propose new analyses to add value, and make recommendations leading to improved Company performance
Strong research, analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member
Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships throughout the organization
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
5+ years finance or sales support experience
Experience with managing others for success
Experience with SalesForce, SAP, Power BI, BPC and/or other Financial Reporting tools
