An entry-level biomedical technician who is capable of doing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a wide variety of biomedical equipment. Expected to learn troubleshooting skills and operation of a wide variety of biomedical equipment. Will mentor and assist PM technicians and identify training needs for self and others. Assure the service area is clean and orderly, providing a safe environment for service personnel. Responsible for meeting productivity goals set for the department and participate in a department on-call rotation when needed. He/she will be expected to participate in business growth and productivity improvement initiatives.
Scheduled Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am -5:30pm

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities):
Associates degree in an electronic field, preferably biomedical, or a combination of education and experience. 0-1 years experience. May have educational/vocational qualification. Detailed working and troubleshooting knowledge, Aptitude to organize self as well as others. Proven ability to communicate with all levels of personnel. Well organized with strong time management skills. Outstanding attention to detail, with the ability to maintain focus with intermittent distractions. Professionalism and a mature sense of accountability which adhere to McKesson's ICARE principals. Working knowledge of PC software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)One Track, E1 (P21) ,Warehouse control systems and other automated software
* Basic troubleshooting ability * Some knowledge of various hospital/homecare medical equipment * Excellent customer communication skills * Understanding of and ability to operate basic electronic test equipment * Basic knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical, fluidics, pneumatics and hydraulic theories and practices. * Associate degree in an electronic field, preferably biomedical, or a combination of education and experience * Strong work ethic and focus on quality work * Must be organized. * Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel * Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain focus with intermittent distractions * Strong organization and time management skills * Professionalism and a mature sense of accountability
