What you’ll be doing...
We are looking for a partnership professional who is passionate about next generation technologies to join the NBI Operations Partnerships team and drive a wide variety of contract negotiations, deal lifecycle management initiatives and new business integration initiatives for the NBI Portfolio of businesses including, Verizon Location Technology (includes newly acquired positioning company, Senion), Robotics Business Group (Skyward and newly acquired robotics software company, incubed IT.), 5G Disruption, Sensor Intelligence and other new operating groups in development and other strategic initiatives. As a part of the NBI Operations team, this role requires an exceptionally energetic self-starter with significant experience leading both tactical and strategic contract negotiations across a wide variety of contract types and leading deal process across stakeholder groups (Product, Technology, Business, Finance/Accounting, Ops, Legal, Sourcing/Supplier Risk, IT Security, etc.). You will be a thought leader to the businesses in the NBI portfolio, drive large stakeholder groups to deadlines and be motivated by the opportunity to pursue win-win opportunities with our partners and vendors. You will be energized by a fast-paced and fluid working environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driven by continuous improvement and operates with a “no task is too small” attitude.
Developing and driving both strategic and operational plans with C-level and other leaders across the strategy, consumer, media, business and technology divisions of Verizon to manage and support the delivery of a growing portfolio of NBI-related initiatives including professional services, product innovation, product development, product integration and delivery, performance management, leading quarterly business reviews (QBRS) and managing KPIs, ongoing partnership and portfolio optimization, collaboration with business development on new initiatives, performance modeling and analysis and relationship management.
Partnering with internal product and sales teams on integration, launch, maintenance, and other related activities, which have direct impact on internal partner metrics.
Preparing and presenting proposed directions to management for buy-in and/or project and milestone reporting.
Cultivating strong relationships with equal level counterparts within strategic partners and manage and project/program manage day-to-day activities to drive key initiatives agreed by both parties.
Acting as subject matter expert for all consumer and enterprise products and value add as well as business models to drive new revenue around such new and potential areas.
Working with the NBI Head of Partnership Operations and Director of NBI Operations to develop a partnership management pipeline and plan that reflects the larger strategy and ladders into company KPIs.
Effectively managing communication with clients and across divisions at Verizon to seamlessly execute programs and meet deliverables and deadlines.
Driving thought leadership to Verizon stakeholders and develop new, fresh ideas for how NBI partnerships can support Verizon in moving its strategy forward.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with drafting contract terms, strategic agreement term sheets, oversight for contracts management, deal operations and contracts negotiation.
Strategic partnership development and deal lifecycle management experience.
Experience managing direct reports and leading high functioning deal teams.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Cross functional project management experience.
Experience interacting with “C” level executives.
Advanced Microsoft office experience (excel pivot tables and formulas).
Experience handling multiple large dollar (1M+ dollar) contracts.
Experience using Gsuite, SmartSheets, Salesforce, Jira/Confluence.
Prior external facing role experience (Sales, Sales Operations or Service).
