Work you'll do/Responsibilities
Assist in daily administration activities including monitoring, support, and maintenance of Oracle databases. Monitor database activities such as Backup, Error Logs, Space, Object, Performance, User and Session monitoring to ensure proper Capacity and Availability. Participate and represent database administration considerations in application design reviews and in strategic architectural design.
The US Systems Engineering Offering delivers large scale software applications and integrated systems and assists its clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. The practice aims at developing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems. It would focus on key client issues that impact the core business by delivering operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Qualifications Required
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years overall experience in Oracle Database Administration on Linux: Oracle RAC installation, configuration, production support, upgrades, patches, performance tuning, backup and recovery, space management, database security, cloning, migration, shell scripting and documentation.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with Oracle 19c RAC, ASM, ASO on RHEL 7.x.
Strong korn-shell scripting skills.
Performance tuning of the database - SQL Tuning, Used Tuning utilities like EXPLAIN PLAN, AWR, ADDM and Tuning of SGA, distribution of disk I/O, Sizing of tables and indexes
Experience working with developers in optimizing SQL, PL/SQL code.
Knowledgeable in using Grid Control and OEM Features and worked with databases which have critical and BLOB data
Experience with logical backups of the database using Data Pump (EXPDP and IMPDP).
Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Passionate, adaptable, flexible, independent, and self-motivated individual who takes initiative and ownership of projects.
Experience working with Oracle RAC on Windows Server 2016 a plus
