What does a Technical Professional Services - Business Analyst do? Business Analyst has responsibility for ensuring quality design and delivery of professional service projects focused in the commercial banking area. They are responsible for developing business and technical requirements , functional specifications, and user stories from requests from commercial banking customers. Proper execution by a Professional Services Business Analyst results in consistently high quality software, increased client satisfaction, revenue growth due to sales opportunities and new client potential based on positive client references.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Document a clear definition of the business problem from the prospect/customer Document the business and technical requirements to resolve the business problem Communicate the requirements and resolution through creation of Agile style User Stories Hold regular customer check-in meetings for current project Manage work backlog for development team Agile sprints Participate in daily working sessions with Agile team Develop/report plan(s) to remediate non-green items Meet or exceed targeted goal of Professional Services revenue Ensure timing delivery of commitments Refinement of requirements to ensure quality delivery
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES: Business Analyst has accountability for developing clear and comprehensive functional requirements and User Stories for customer-requested commercial online banking projects Participates in client discussions regarding business challenges and collaborates with them and co-workers in devising appropriate solutions
Generates work products that support proposed solutions, including but not limited to User Stories, wire frames, flow diagrams
Refines the work backlog for their assigned team and clearly articulates details of documented requirements and Stories
Works closely with Fiserv implementations, development, product management and client services to implement and support product features that result from their projects Develops and manages operational and technical relationships through in-person visits and phone calls to help carry out their projects Acts as the primary point of contact for issue resolution and escalation for projects Ensures metrics are met or exceeded; drives Client satisfaction through gathering and disseminating feedback to drive performance improvements Tasked with understanding the client's environment to ensure full utilization of our solutions for maximum benefit Provides various levels of reporting on accomplishments and in-process activities *The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration: High school diploma required, Bachelor's preferred:
5+ years of work experience in financial technology with emphasis on banking/financial technology or the financial industry. 2+ years of work experience working in Agile methodology
2+ years of work experience in creating functional requirements and detailed product specifications
Experience working in small "scrum" teams Experience working more than one concurrent project
Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:
Project Management experience Knowledge of Fiserv systems
Working knowledge of two or more of the following financial data formats: BAI, NACHA, EDI820, ISO20022
Experience developing wire frames
Experience developing flow diagrams
