The Financial Analyst for Health Systems and Enterprise Sales is a key player to support a significant part of our business here at McKesson Medical-Surgical.
This person will provide financial insights and guidance to support the core Health Systems market segment by scrutinizing and interpreting an abundance of internal data, developing meaningful and actionable insights and recommendations to drive both strategic and tactical business decisions.
A critical part of this role’s responsibilities is the thoughtful design of annual sales incentives to enable Health Systems and the Enterprise Sales team to meet or exceed its financial targets.
In addition, this position will support financial analysis for long range planning (LRP), annual planning, monthly forecasting, strategic initiatives, intra-month sales projection (flash), and the tracking of key metrics.
This position will be based in Richmond, VA and report to the Director, Finance for Enterprise and Consumer Markets.
Partner with Sales and Compensation teams to develop energizing annual goals for the Sales Team by understanding organic customer growth and setting new business revenue targets
Lead Financial Plan, Forecasting and Long-Range Plan (LRP) processes to shape business expectations and successfully communicate variances to budget and financial recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
Knowledgeably inform sales partners of risks and opportunities on a weekly basis and corresponding FP&A business partners on forecast changes
Drive financial performance of the Health Systems market by proactively identifying key risks, business trends, and opportunities for growth
Host quarterly round-table reviews with key product business partners to assess business trends, product strategy, financial performance, and future direction of the business
Work collaboratively and cross functionally across teams including Marketing, Sales, Pricing, Sales Effectiveness, PSSP among others, to develop a deep, subject matter expert level understanding of our Health Systems business and opportunities both from a customer and product perspective
Closely align with Sales VPs on customer renewals, new business opportunities, lost and at-risk business
Guide Master Data and Sales Effectiveness teams through Financial implications of Data Governance decisions on a monthly basis; recommend solutions and possible timelines for material Governance changes
Identify and pursue process improvement opportunities in respects to reporting and data management for more accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of reporting
Build relationships both within McKesson Medical-Surgical and with the Corporate Finance support teams in the North America Finance Shared Services departments to improve forecast accuracy and enable more robust financial reporting
Ad hoc reporting and/or projects as needed
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
4+ years of progressive Financial Planning & Analysis experience
Excellent communication and written/verbal skills
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and summarize business trends with attention to accuracy
Ability to hit multiple deadlines with accuracy and insight
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Excellent time management and organizational ability
Cross-functional collaboration and relationship building with other functions (within BU and enterprise-wide)
Team work and relationship building
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience working in a large public company preferred
Ability to navigate dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related field
