Abbott's Rapid Diagnostics division is recruiting for an experienced Marketing Manager for our Infectious Disease business, responsible for driving commercial success across UK and Ireland, in strong collaboration with the Commercial Leadership team.
The Marketing Manager will develop regional campaigns in line with Global and European communication strategy to drive revenues and improve awareness, tailor the implementation of marketing activities in the region as well as plan, monitor and report expenditure. You will also be involved in European Marketing projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing against Marketing Plans, ensuring delivery of short/medium-term turnover (1-3-year impact), volume and market share goals based on a deep understanding of the cluster markets and Abbott portfolio and respective diseases.
Developing local marketing and promotional plans, in alignment with regional plan, to include tracking their execution.
Participating in product launch projects from early stages and plan local launch plans.
Developing a deep understanding of the market including competitor intelligence and market dynamics, producing customer segments mapping etc.
Travels in field to better understand product utilization and competitive intelligence directly from market, customers and sales representatives.
Routine participation in sales effectiveness, to include rolling our marketing plans and associated tactics at sales meetings, reporting on progress towards annual tactical plans, conducting business analysis and monitoring key performance indicators.
Monitor training needs and collaborate with application specialist to deploy training.
What you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Biological Science or related discipline.
Some medical devices/diagnostics or relevant pharma experience, in vitro Diagnostics experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Infectious Diseases, Molecular and Lateral Flow test technology strongly preferred
Prior experience in a marketing function within life sciences.
Proven ability of delivering goals in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with varied, key stakeholders in a fast-paced matrix environment.
Willingness to travel c.40% of the time (nationally and internationally).
Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation and influencing skills.
Problem solving attitude, flexible, embraces change and can react quickly to changing market demands.
