The practice offers a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services and treatments, specializing in routine eye and medical care, general ophthalmology, glaucoma, cataracts surgery, specialty contact lenses, and oculoplastics services. To maintain a competitive edge in the eye care industry and provide patients with a full spectrum of services and specialties, the business is looking for a highly skilled Associate Optometrist to join the dynamic team of 12 professionals.
The practice's facility features state-of-the-art equipment, multiple examination lanes, and a full-spectrum optical department that cater to unique vision needs. The practice is fully equipped with diagnostic technology and utilizes Optos Retinal Imaging, OCT (Cirus and Spectralis), HVF, iProfiler (auto/topo), Forum, and cutting-edge laser technology. Cloud-based technology is used to manage electronic health records and monitor eye health over time. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse an extensive selection of frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique. In addition, the Opticians provide personal assistance to help patients select the best frames for medical needs, lifestyle, appearance, and budget--plus, safety eyewear, sports goggles, swimming goggles, and polarized clip-ons customized for any ophthalmic frame are available.
About the Part-Time Associate Optometrist Opening
Eye Consultants of Silicon Valley is seeking a part-time, top-notch Associate Optometrist to join a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to offering individualized eye care solutions to ensure optimal eye health for every patient. You'll work closely with the doctors and provide primary vision care to patients and special populations and perform contact lens fittings for hard-to-fit contacts--each doctor cares for approximately five to 15 patients daily. As part of your patient interactions, you'll engage patients in conversations to determine their vision problems while providing education on ocular health, visual hygiene, and contact lens care. The role is part-time, offering 24 hours weekly.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
Optometry license in the state of California
Specialty contact lens fittings
Therapeutic pharmaceutical agents license
Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry
Preferred qualifications include:
Must be able to care for patients/special populations of all ages
