Job Ojective -
Process and maintain expatriate payroll through communication with Corporate Human Resources. Maintain general ledger for payroll and benefit accounts for all brands. Prepare forecast/budget for PTO benefit accounts for all brands. Manage team that handles Garnishments and account balancing.
Process expatriate payroll according to data received from Corp HR. Maintain year to date payment history in excel spreadsheet or shadow payroll application for each expat. Manually maintain system year to date information necessary for W2 reporting. Gather information needed and answer any questions per request from Corp HR or External accounting firm.
Responsible for all manual accrual entries and adjustment entries for all banners. Also, backup for verifying and posting system payroll entry for all banners.
Manage team that handles Garnishments, Tax Levies, Child support. Understand how to read orders and how to enter them correctly in Payroll Application so that amounts withheld and remitted are accurate and timely. Review balances of all general ledger accounts for payroll and benefits for all banners.
Responsible for answering end of period finance and balance sheet questions regarding payroll and benefit accounts. Answer all quarter and year end questions from external auditors for expense and balance sheet payroll accounts for all banners.
Prepare yearly PTO benefits budget for all banners to be reviewed by Payroll Director and/or VP of Accounting.
Prepare quarterly forecast for payroll and benefit accounts for all banners. Reviewed by Payroll Director and/or VP of Accounting.
Prepare year end reconciliations for benefits with supporting documents to be reviewed and explained to external auditors.
Review system benefit calculations quarterly to general ledger balances. General ledger manual entries review.
Prepare data per request. Query data from payroll system or general ledger system and present data in a readable format to person requesting information. Also answer any questions regarding benefit expense.
Process personal check reimbursements for overpayments and record tax withholdings from stock to the general ledger. Update year to date information for both of the above for W2 reporting. Gross up taxable relocation paid or expenses received as net amounts, record taxes to the general ledger and update year to date information.
Responsible for the supervision, as well as performance appraisals of 5 payroll associates and their related job functions associated with the processing of budget and forecast, garnishments, and various other duties. This involves providing daily direction, guidance, and training to enable them to perform their functions accurately and timely as well as provide the highest level of customer service to our customers in all areas of the company.
4 year Business or Accounting Degree
2-5 years payroll experience
