About the Role:
The Sales Associate will be a member of the high growth Global Technology Team within S&P Global's Market Intelligence division. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work global, multi-stakeholder deals with a wide range of companies who lead, innovate and disrupt their respective industries.
As a Sales Associate, you will play an important role supporting a group of Sales Directors, helping to drive awareness, meetings, sales conversations and ultimately help the team elevate its partnerships with the world's largest tech firms. This role has a direct impact on future growth and you'll learn from some of the best and most successful commercial leaders in the industry.
What You'll Do:
Our team sells S&P's Technology, Media and Telecom data, research, and IT Analyst & Advisory services to the largest Technology firms. Said differently, you will help manage a variety of deal types for a wide range of customers, from prospect to close.
Here are some of the core responsibilities of the role:
Working closely with Sales Executives to identify new opportunities within the designated territory
Establish appointments with senior executives of these organizations
Build and execute sales campaigns and host clients at events (e.g. conferences, dinners)
Stay current with industry news and issues to have credible conversations
Coordinate and lead sales demonstrations
Work alongside senior sales team to negotiate contract terms and pricing
Manage the contract execution process and coordinate the onboarding of new clients
Engage in strategic planning for key accounts in conjunction with Sales Executives
Compensation/Benefits Information (US ApplicantsOnly):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $50.9k - $105.4k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
Goal orientated and competitive with an ability to work towards revenue targets within a business development environment
Interest in understanding a client's business, how their specific role fits within the organization and consultatively suggesting solutions that solve for their business issues
Strong MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are required, and any knowledge of CRM databases (such as Salesforce.com) would be helpful
Strong interpersonal communication skills, able to think on your feet and confidence in public speaking
