Job Title: Risk Intelligence Data Insights Analyst
What does a Risk Intelligence Data Insights Analyst do? The Risk Intelligence Data Analyst will support the various data discovery and data management needs of the Risk Intelligence team. The Risk Intelligence team manages multiple streams of data flowing into and out of authoritative sources and builds reporting and analytics services related to the risk posture of the Company. The team oversees Enterprise Risk, Controls and Compliance dashboards and data services and produces reporting for the Chief Risk Officer, Line of Business Risk Officers and Risk Operations teams. As a Data Analyst, you will: * Extract, transform, load, manage and troubleshoot daily transaction files * Solicit data needs and/or information from Risk Intelligence team and internal stakeholders * Extract and prepare data for analysis across multiple platforms (PowerBI, Database Connections, Excel, flat files) * Interface cross departmentally to understand the needs and objectives of the business * Perform data quality analysis to ensure data integrity and accuracy of production data * Proactively identify areas for improvement in data performance, quality, and processing * Conduct performance tuning where necessary Basic Qualifications for Consideration: * Bachelor's degree (or in process of completion) * 1+ Years of experience in Python and/or R * 1+ Years of experience developing SQL objects * Sound understanding of Data Management best practices/methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling (OLAP, OLTP, etc.), scale, structured query language (SQL) skills, query performance tuning, data warehouse and reporting techniques (including ETL techniques) Preferred qualifications: * Experience with cloud based tools (Ex. Snowflake) is a plus but not required * Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements are a plus * Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills * Highly organized; able to work independently and handle multiple tasks, simultaneous projects with aggressive deadlines * Demonstrated ability to derive solutions with minimal oversight and vague requirements
