The primary role of the market demand planner is to ensure a rolling 18+ month forecast is developed, reviewed, published, and adjusted as needed by partnering with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain. The demand planning analyst will manage a list of ecommerce skus across multiple business units. This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true consumer demand signals by which to align the rest of the supply chain by working with the ecommerce team.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
Analyze historical and future demand inputs such as distribution changes, price changes, new productslaunch, and calculate their impacts on demandby working with the Ecommerce and Amazon team.
Make recommendations to enhance business processes, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies
Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions- new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance on advertising and promotional plans andevaluate againstperformance from similar historical activities
Work withMarketDemandPlanner tomake sure the ecommerce plans are incorporated into the business specific demand plans.
Ensure demand plan is shared in level of detail and timing required by internal customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions, including risks and opportunities
Conduct monthly root cause analyses on forecast error and identify corrective actions
Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuousimprovement
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
B.S. degree in Operations Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management,Financeor related field required, or an advanced degree with a minimum of one year of experience
Minimum three (3) years of combined experience in demand planning, sales, and/or supply chain
PreferredSkills / Experience / Competencies:
Experience in the CPG industry
Experience with planning applications such as SAP, APO, or SAS
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across all levels within the organization
Ability to drive action and influence decision making at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Experience leading process improvement initiatives
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs
