The Reinsurance Analyst is a vital member of Equitable's reinsurance team , which transacts over $1Billion in premiums and claims with our global reinsurance partners such as Swiss Re, SCOR, and RGA, just to name a few. The primary focus of this position is the day-to-day customer-facing administration and controls application foradministering the reinsurance portfolio.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing efficient and effective administration of reinsured contracts, including premium reporting and analysis, reinsurance claim validation/re-calcs & reconciliations and underlying contract benefit research and documentation to satisfy requests by reinsurers, examiners, auditors, and legal.
Prepare and remit timely and accurate monthly & quarterly claims & premiums settlements to multiple reinsurers as per reinsurance contracts in place.
Prepare analysis and trends to internal stakeholders of activity for monthly close, and quarterly and annual requirements.
In addition to core responsibilities, this position supports the Reinsurance team on various special projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with our admin team, provide recommendations to improve processes in place, and deliver financial and data requirements to various stakeholders. Reinsurance experience is a plus.
Experienced in business administration.
Analytical, mathematical and microsoft office skills.
Ability to manipulate, analyze, and manage large amounts of data with emphasis in Excel and Access.
Proven knowledge in business operations/administration.
Analytical, decisive and communications (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle complex tasks, meet deadlines and take initiative with minimal oversight.
